My first night injecting my Semorelin

Hi Friend,

I never thought I would write this.

Even a year ago, if you had asked me about GLP-1 medications, I would have warned against them completely. Today, I see something very different: possibility.

After watching my mom slowly disappear over eleven painful years because of Alzheimer's disease, I can no longer look at therapies like GLP-1s with judgment. I look at them with hope.

In fact, I believe we may one day see GLP-1 medications used as part of a comprehensive strategy to delay, slow, or even help prevent cognitive decline. The research isn't there yet, but the early findings are intriguing enough that scientists are paying close attention.

While I'm not currently taking a GLP-1, I am open to the possibility if future research supports it.

Part of that openness comes from my own genetics.

I carry one copy of the APOE4 gene, which is associated with an increased risk of late-onset Alzheimer's disease. I don't view that as a diagnosis or a death sentence. I view it as information.

That knowledge motivates me to exercise regularly, lift weights, prioritize sleep, eat a Mediterranean-style diet, fast strategically, limit alcohol, invest in relationships, and manage stress. Research continues to show that lifestyle choices can significantly influence how genetic risk is expressed.

Because of that focus on healthy aging, I recently began working with Vivoro and started a peptide called Sermorelin.

Sermorelin is not a GLP-1. It is a growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) analog that stimulates your pituitary gland to produce more of your body's own growth hormone. While some people notice changes in body composition, my interest isn't weight loss.

My interest is longevity.

Research suggests Sermorelin may help support healthy body composition, recovery, sleep quality, lean muscle mass, and overall vitality in some individuals when prescribed appropriately and monitored by a physician.

The potential benefit that interested me most was sleep.[1]

If you've followed me for any length of time, you know I believe sleep is one of our greatest defenses against chronic disease and cognitive decline. While I generally sleep well, deep sleep has always been an area where I could improve. Specifically as a strategy to protect cognition.

I've only been using Sermorelin for a few days, so it's far too early to draw conclusions. But I have noticed an improvement in my deep sleep metrics, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, and readiness scores. That's my experience so far—not proof—but enough to make me curious and excited to continue learning!

A few important notes:

Sermorelin is not appropriate for everyone.

You should not use it if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, actively being treated for cancer, or have certain medical conditions. Anyone considering peptide therapy should work closely with a qualified healthcare provider and undergo appropriate monitoring.

That includes testing markers such as:

• IGF-1 (Insulin-like Growth Factor-1)

• Fasting glucose and HbA1c

• Thyroid function (TSH, Free T3, Free T4)

Semorelin is a cell multiplier so you must keep up with mammograms, colonoscopies and all your preventative screenings. Most importantly, no peptide replaces the fundamentals.

You still need to lift weights, eat adequate protein, manage stress, prioritize sleep, and move your body daily.

I'm hopeful that therapies like Sermorelin may become another tool in the toolbox for healthy aging and cognitive resilience. As always, I'll continue to share what I learn—the successes, the questions, and everything in between.

This Tuesday at 12 PM EST, I'm bringing a practitioner onto my live stream to answer your questions about peptides, longevity, GLP-1s, cognitive health, and whether therapies like Sermorelin may be appropriate for certain individuals.

I'd love for you to join us live on Facebook and YouTube.

And if you'd like to learn more about physician-guided peptide therapy, I'm partnering with Vivoro, a trusted telehealth company that helps patients navigate therapies like Sermorelin, NAD+, and GLP-1s safely and responsibly.
